Bursledon Windmill currently relies on volunteers to help preserve and share Hampshire’s unique survivor. Volunteering could involve anything from guiding or welcoming visitors, to gardening and grounds maintenance. Thanks to the careful conservation and expert restoration led by Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust (HBPT), Bursledon Windmill was brought back to life as a visitor attraction. It holds the distinction of being Hampshire’s only working windmill when operating. It is currently cared for by HBPT, a charitable trust, and a team of volunteers.
As work continues behind the scenes to explore sustainable options that will allow this much‑loved heritage site to be preserved, celebrated and reopened for future generations, we'd welcome any donations, no matter how large or small.
