A modest target of £200 to raise money for a new wheelbarrow, and perhaps a broom, for volunteers grew beyond our wildest dreams as the total raised nudged over £2.500. New volunteer Bex Longhurst explains "After my first stint on site I realised that the site was lacking in the basic necessities and volunteers were kindly using their own equipment to mow the lawns, manage the hedges, sweep the floors. So I set up a GoFundMe page and was swept away with the love and support from the local community." Whilst the volunteer trustees at charity Hampshire Buildings Preservation Trust work behind the scenes to secure funding and the long term viability of the site, these much-needed funds will really boost our efforts to keep the site looking tidy and secure. Thank you to our brilliant volunteers for always going the extra mile and a huge thanks to the local community for their continued support. We'll let you know what they spend the money on soon!
